Rebekah Banasik (she/her) thrives on challenges that call for creativity outside of her comfort zone. As a Student Coordinator at Piper & Gold Public Relations, Rebekah combines her love for persuasive writing with meticulous organization to do work that makes a difference.
Rebekah is driven by her goal of leaving the world better than she found it. She uses the power of storytelling to help amplify the voices of others and inspire meaningful change. As a student, Rebekah is dedicated to growing her PR knowledge and skill set with each new opportunity that comes her way.
Rebekah is a senior at Grand Valley State University, majoring in advertising and public relations with a minor in writing. She’s part of the Frederik Meijer Honors College, the vice president of public relations for GVSU’s PRSSA chapter and an account executive for GVSU’s student-run PR firm, GrandPR.
Outside of P&G, you can find Rebekah exploring the west side of Michigan, lost in the pages of a good book or spending time with friends and family.
- Helped develop a strategic marketing campaign for a national client in the Digital Marketing Competition, an international marketing competition for college students, placing 14th out of 149 teams worldwide.
- Managed the GVSU Alumni Association social media channels during the global pandemic, generating views from a combined audience of more than 22,000 people across all platforms.
- Conducted a communications audit and designed a comprehensive communications plan for the West Michigan Academy of Arts and Academics, a charter school in Spring Lake, Michigan.
