Morgan van den Berg
Public Relations Assistant Strategist
Background
For Morgan van den Berg, storytelling is a powerful catalyst for empathy, human connection and lasting social change. As Piper & Gold’s Public Relations Assistant Strategist, Morgan thrives in collaborative spaces that foster curiosity and creativity to empower voices.
Morgan is a second-year master’s student in the Advertising and Public Relations program at Michigan State University. Her research primarily focuses on social impact and the ethical implications of artificial intelligence for PR practice. Morgan is passionate about bridging the gap between academia and industry to ensure research insights lead to real-world impact and innovation.
Her previous internship experience at a marketing agency sought to address this issue, where she collaborated on two academically-grounded research reports to guide b2b tech companies on AI ethics, transparency and governance. By merging academia and industry, Morgan translated complex research into actionable insights to help clients build trust, align with emerging standards, and strengthen their ethical positioning in a rapidly evolving landscape of uncertainty.
When she’s not working, Morgan is likely searching for vintage goods with a coffee in hand or testing new plant-based recipes. She also enjoys spending time with close friends and cuddling her two Siamese cats, Coco (like the brand) and Mr. Darcy (like the book character), who certainly live up to their names!
