What we say

What is a social impact communications agency?

Oct 6, 2025

Whether you’ve just met us or have been alongside us for years, we’re glad you’re here. We want to share a little about who we are and why we do what we do. If you believe in fairness, equity and leaving the world better than you found it, you’re our people.

At P&G, we call ourselves a social impact communications agency. That’s not just a description, it’s the foundation of how we approach our work.

Social impact, to us, isn’t a watered-down buzzword or a vague “making a difference” line anyone can claim. It’s not about doing “something.” It’s about doing the right things, with the right people, for the right reasons, and holding ourselves accountable to outcomes that actually improve lives.

And let’s be blunt: we’re not neutral. We’re feminist, LGBTQ+ affirming, anti-racist and proudly progressive. We work with missions that align with these values, because we believe our approach actually makes people’s lives healthier, safer, more informed and connected. Our way is better because it doesn’t just talk about change; it helps make it happen.

That might mean amplifying ignored voices, creating campaigns that help families make informed choices, or boldly pushing back on harmful narratives. It doesn’t always look like leading a protest, although it could (we have a passionate team). More often, it’s the unglamorous grind of showing up, building trust one conversation at a time and making sure people have the tools and information they need to thrive.

Our social impact work is grounded in values that guide how we show up for partners and communities. We believe the power of communication starts with listening, genuinely understanding people’s truths before taking action. We measure success not just by numbers, but by the impact our work has on people’s lives.

That means doing good work with integrity and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard and included. Thinking bigger about what’s possible when we work together. These aren’t just words we say, they’re the lens we bring to every campaign, every strategy, and every story we tell.

The challenges communities face today are complex. Budgets are tight, policies are shifting, and people are stretched thin. In this environment, communications can either add to the noise or become a tool for clarity and change.

We ask thoughtful questions. We listen deeply. We build strategies grounded in empathy and evidence. And we’ll keep people at the center of everything we do, because, when it comes down to it, communication is about impact. It’s about people helping people.

Your fights are our fights. We don’t sit on the sidelines. In fact, we’re already in the ring with you. Sometimes you’ll lead and we’ll follow. Other times, we’ll take the hits and throw the punches. Because with every good partnership, we can lean on each other, and no matter what, you can count on us to have your back.

We believe that this kind of communication — equity-obsessed, people-first and just disruptive enough to matter — is what actually changes lives for the better. And we’ll unapologetically support the missions and the people doing that work every day.

This is Piper & Gold. This is who we are. And we’re just getting started.
